ADR/MEDIATION

ADR stands for “Alternative Dispute Resolution”. In English law this means negotiation, mediation, conciliation and arbitration etc. ADR is the voluntary resolution of a dispute without recourse to the courts and so avoiding adversarial hearings. ADR aims to save time, and to avoid much of the cost and stress of normal court proceedings. It is seen as being cheaper and does not necessarily require lawyers.

In Islam divorce is the most detestable of the lawful acts. Every effort should be made to compose the differences and improve the relations before taking this fatal decision. Make a thorough evaluation of your relationship, every marriage and relationship has ups and downs. Think carefully, have you tried every efforts? think of your needs and weaknesses, try and think of positive things about your spouse throughout the relationship! Try to be patient and have some forgiveness for minor errors and annoyances. During this time if you think its beyond your control then inform the elders of both parties, however, if you still need someone independent to arbitrate then you may use our mediation system. We can act independently to mediate between both you or with your family members. You can attend a session by arrangement and if that is not possible then we can arrange via social network on your preferred time provided that both couple are available.

The Quran says: “And if you fear a breach between the two, appoint an arbiter from his relatives and an arbiter from her relatives. If they both desire reconciliation Allah will effect harmony between them. Verily Allah has full knowledge, and is aware of everything.” (Surah An-Nisa 4:35)

Depending on complexity of your case you can book a one hour session. Our cost per session will be £50.00

If you wish to mediate before you proceed to Islamic Divorce application then please complete the form below to make an arrangement for one to one session or via social media (such as via WhatsApp, Zoom) etc. Please state the preferred method on the explanation box below.
